    ABSTRACT
    This paper provides new data about the presence in Sicily (Italy) of Axinotarsus (Tarxinosus) implicatus Escalera, 1926 (Coleoptera Melyridae Malachiinae Malachiini). The species was not yet known for the Italian and European fauna. The position of the genus Axinotarsus Motschulsky, 1854 and its possible affinities with the genus Antholinus Mulsant et Rey, 1867 are discussed.
