    ABSTRACT
Based on shell characters, three new species of the conoidean gastropod genus Bela Leach, 1847 are here described from the Aegean and Ionian Seas. The new taxa, Bela hellenica n. sp., Bela rufinii n. sp. and Bela salentina n. sp. known only from their type localities, were compared with the most closely related species. The paucispiral protoconch of these new species allowed an unambiguous shell separation. With this work the number of Recent Mediterranean species ascribed to the genus Bela and displaying this type of larval developmentis increased, and the first record of Bela filioae Öztürk et Ovalis, 2024 is reported from the Salento Peninsula (Italy) waters.

    ABSTRACT
Three rare species of Epitoniidae S.S. Berry, 1910 (1812) (Gastropoda) with a predominant Atlantic distribution are reported from the Mediterranean Sea: Epitonium nanum (Jeffreys, 1884), collected from the coralligenous bottoms of the Alboran Sea; Claviscala richardi (Dautzenberg et de Boury, 1897) dredged on a white coral biocoenosis located off the coast of Lazio, Central Tyrrhenian Sea; Cylindriscala mirifica (P. Fischer, 1886) from the bathyal water off Dubrovnik, Croatia, Southern Adriatic Sea. Updated data on the distribution of these epitoniids are provided together with the description of their biocoenosis.

    ABSTRACT
Based on shell and soft parts characters, a new species of the conoidean gastropod genus Bela Leach in J.E. Gray, 1847 is here described from the Croatian waters. The new taxon, Bela spalatina n. sp., known only from the type locality (Split, Croatia), is compared with the most closely related species, Bela fuscata (Deshayes, 1835). The animal colour pattern, unusual for the genus Bela, allows an easy identification of the new species.
