    ABSTRACT
    Some nomenclatural and taxonomic issues concerning Taiwanese species of Agrilus Curtis, 1825 (Coleoptera Buprestidae) are discussed. Based on the examination of type material, the following taxonomic and nomenclatural acts are proposed: designation of lectotypes for Agrilus hornianus Kerremans, 1912 and A. sauteri Kerremans, 1912; designation of a new lectotype for A. nigricinctus Kerremans, 1912; synonymization of Agrilus hornianus Kerremans, 1912 with A. sauteri Kerremans, 1912, with the latter selected as the valid name under Article 24.2 of the ICZN; and restoration of A. motobuanus Fukutomi, 2006 to species rank (stat. rev.). In addition, the occurrence of A. odetteae Baudon, 1968 in Taiwan is considered doubtful and requires confirmation.

    In this fourth contribution seven further new species of Agrilus Curtis, 1825 (Coleoptera Buprestidae) from Taiwan are described: Agrilus albicans n. sp., A. chientai n. sp., A. lidao n. sp., A. pespilosus n. sp., A. sanguinolentus n. sp., A. volubilis n. sp., A. yamadai n. sp.

    ABSTRACT
    Our second contribution concerning the Agrilus Curtis, 1825 (Coleoptera Buprestidae) of Taiwan in which 15 new species and 2 new subspecies are described: A. iustusventer n. sp., A. dioptasius n. sp., A. chen n. sp., A. exophthalmus n. sp., A. polydeukes n. sp., A. valdedotatus n. sp., A. nasutus n. sp., A. baolai n. sp., A. dapan n. sp., A. lulinshan n. sp., A. dahanshan n. sp., A. takaharui n. sp., A. mica n. sp., A. attalicus n. sp., A. pericles n. sp., A. yakushimensis remotus n. ssp., A. esakii pudicus n. ssp. For each of these, photos of dorsal, ventral bodies and aedeagus are provided. Each entity is compared with species considered morphologically more similar.

    ABSTRACT
    Years of research carried out by one of the Authors on the Taiwanese Buprestidae fauna, led to the discovery several taxa unknown to science. In this first contribution, seven new species belonging to the genus Agrilus Curtis, 1825 are described and illustrated: A. coccinellus n. sp., A. fongmuorum n. sp., A. pylades n. sp., A. convexivertex n. sp., A. clavulatus n. sp., A. rhusphagus n. sp., A. firmianae n. sp.
